The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs is only able to inspire and enrich the lives of the youth it serves – in order to help them reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens – through the donations and financial gifts of those who believe and support this mission.
The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs is funded solely through donations and grants, and does not receive any government funding.
We know the numbers show there is a great need for our programs and services. According to the Palm Springs Unified School District Foundation, 97% of students in the District are socio-economically disadvantaged and are considered at or below the poverty line, and 12% of the District’s 21,000 students are homeless. Academically, only 42% are proficient in reading, and 21% are proficient in math. The Club has the tools and skill sets necessary to help these at-risk kids.
The Club is designed to build confidence by offering facilities and equipment for learning while acting as a safe haven that deters members from dangerous situations by providing constructive alternatives that develop strong values and encourage good choices to help put these kids on a positive path in life.
If you believe that every child deserves the kind of support we offer to the kids, please donate today – and be assured that 100% of your contribution goes directly to the Club’s programs, leading to the following outcomes: academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles.
